This began as a comic strip on a roll of lining paper, telling the story of Christ’s birth. It was stupidly popular, with people coming to the church where I was working to see the latest instalment. After Christmas folk who had seen it wanted a copy of their own and asked for it to be turned into a comic book they could not only read, but share with others. With the help of The Methodist Church’s Sheffield Circuit, I redrew it all and turned it into a comic book. People often took several copies to post to far flung members of their family. It was great fun to do, but had to be done in little chunks to fit in around the day job.
